Our Preschool program builds upon the foundation established in our Birth to 3 programs. Serving children from age 3 to 5 years old, our Preschool program builds upon the foundation established during the Birth to 3 years. It doesn’t matter if your child attended Higher Learning the previous year or not.
Whether your child will be new to a childcare setting, or was a part of our Birth to 3 programs, our Preschool program is designed to meet your child at his/her level of development to maximize his/her personal learning.
We utilize proven curriculum and the Illinois Learning Standards to promote children’s learning through play, exploration and carefully guides instruction. Students go on field trips to reinforce learning and explore the world beyond their immediate community. Our teachers are credentialed with the State of IL and provide children opportunity to experience fun and exciting new things.
Children continue to improve their language skills, expand vocabulary and learn within the areas of science, social studies, math and yes, even algebra. Social-emotional development is paramount at this stage as kids continue to learn how to value self and control emotions as they prepare for prepare for kindergarten.
